Tumbira Experience
a dive in the amazon
Tumbira is a riverside community of the Amazon, located on the right bank of the Rio Negro, located 64 km from Manaus. It belongs to the Rio Negro Sustainable Development Reserve, a conservation unit, along with 18 other riverside communities.
Its foundation dates from 1986 and the origin of its population derives from a migratory process of several families from the Northeast of Brazil or other regions of the Amazon and some from the Rio Negro itself. The incentives for migration were extractive production during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
The community is surrounded by Amazonian natural beauty, talents and community protagonists, and warm and welcoming hosts.

We have an incredible restaurant for your gastronomic experience during Perreché, which can take place at the end of the tour, if you choose the morning time, or it can take place at the beginning, if you choose the afternoon time.
The restaurant is called Tambaqui de Banda, very famous and super awarded for the incredible fish dishes from the Amazon region and also for the super famous tambaqui & chips served during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

ROTEIRO
Dia 1
Chegando na Ilha do Marajó seguimos para realizar check-in no hotel e em seguida fazer uma curadoria de praias lindas banhadas pelo oceano atlântico e rio Amazonas com almoço de gastronomia amazônica em uma das praias.
Pela tarde você irá conhecer a história e cultura de Soure, onde visitaremos a Praça da Independência, a Igreja Matriz, o Mercado Municipal e outros espaços de arte e cultura marajoaras latentes na ilha. Noite livre e pernoite.
Dia 2
No dia seguinte o café da manhã será feito no hotel e logo após partiremos para uma experiência em uma fazenda, onde será possível contemplar a natureza em um passeio de canoa pelos furos e igarapés, seguida de uma caminhada em uma praia deserta e trilha suspensa sobre o mangue.

The tour starts at Largo São Sebastião, at MUSA do Largo, concentration at 8:30 am in the morning and 11:30 am in the afternoon.
